Pay a VAT-registered business digitally and keep the bill. Accepted digital methods include mobile wallets such as eSewa, Khalti, and IME Pay, QR code payments, mobile banking, and debit or credit cards. The bill must show a coupon number; if the bill has no coupon number, the transaction did not generate an entry. No separate registration is usually needed - the coupon number printed on the bill is the entry.

Eligible coupons come from VAT bills of NPR 100 or more that were paid digitally at a VAT-registered business. IRD groups coupons by half-month period: the 1st to the 15th, and the 16th to the end of the month. Coupons outside those periods belong to a different draw. Bills that fall below the minimum value, bills for non-VAT items, cancelled or refunded transactions, and bills without a printed coupon number do not qualify.

Check the coupon number against the official result list, then claim the prize through IRD within the deadline stated in the official notice. A winning coupon must be supported by the original bill; unclaimed prizes lapse once the claim window closes.

Prize money is paid after tax deduction - lottery winnings in Nepal are generally subject to a 25% final withholding tax under the Income Tax Act, so the amount received is lower than the advertised prize.
